The RSEEE & WHPC Meeting – East Anglia 2026 organising committee invites proposals for talks, lightning talks, posters, workshops and breakout discussion topics from Research Software Engineers, technical staff, students and researchers across Norwich Research Park, UEA, Cambridge and the wider East Anglia region.
This year's theme is:
"Research Software in the Era of AI: Best Practices for HPC, Security, and Managing Technical Debt."
We welcome contributions on any topic relevant to research software engineering, but especially encourage submissions aligned with this theme. We value diverse perspectives and strongly encourage submissions from underrepresented groups in research computing.
Standard presentation slots for sharing projects, tools, methods, case studies, or lessons learned. Suitable for in-depth exploration of a topic.
What to submit: Title, abstract (max 250 words).
Short, focused presentations, ideal for introducing a new tool, sharing a quick tip, reporting early-stage work, or sparking a conversation. Slides are optional.
What to submit: Title and a short summary (max 100 words).
No official submission required—we invite people to bring any posters they have or want to show.
Propose a topic for a facilitated group discussion or unconference-style session. These are collaborative, open-format sessions designed to surface ideas, share challenges and build community consensus.
What to submit: Topic title, a short description of the discussion you'd like to lead (max 150 words), and 2–3 seed questions to get the conversation started.
